The Nicolas Dance Program offers 3 levels of dance: Beginning, Intermediate, and Dance Team. These levels are determined through a 3-day audition process held at the end of the previous school year. Students do not need experience to join dance at Nicolas! It is highly recommended that any students interested in dancing at Nicolas attend the auditions so they can secure their spot in dance class for the following school year. Each year, we have many students who select dance on their registration but do not get a dance class because they did not attend auditions. Those who attend the auditions always get first priority over those who do not attend auditions. Dance will count towards your student's PE credit. Students in dance will be required to perform in at least two dance concerts as their culminating activity for the school year, typically one in December and on in May. Intermediate dance may have additional performance opportunities, while Dance Team will have several performance throughout the school year.
